LANOTEC Steel-Seal is a long-term corrosion inhibitor designed for exposed, stored and preservation-critical metal surfaces. It forms a flexible lanolin-based barrier that protects against moisture, condensation, salt spray and corrosive atmospheric contaminants. Unlike hard coatings that may crack, chip or peel, its self-sealing film can flow across minor scratches to help maintain continuous protection.
From vehicle underbodies, chassis and trailers to machinery, tools, spare parts and outdoor metal structures, Steel-Seal protects assets exposed to demanding conditions. It is also suitable for marine and coastal equipment, agricultural machinery, export shipments and the onboard or storage preservation of subsea equipment between deployments.
The liquid formulation spreads easily into seams, welds, cavities, overlaps and other corrosion-prone areas that conventional coatings may struggle to reach. Steel-Seal can be sprayed, brushed or rolled onto the surface, leaving a comparatively transparent protective film that allows the underlying metal to remain visible during routine inspection and maintenance.
Steel-Seal uses renewable and biodegradable lanolin as its lasting protective component, reducing reliance on a residual film made entirely from petroleum-derived materials. By controlling corrosion and extending equipment service life, it can help reduce repeated maintenance, premature component replacement, material consumption and operational downtime.
